The Suite Life of Levi & Noah

Sorry it has been awhile, but here is the latest:

  • After living in Midland for 12 years, all that is left is the clothes on our backs and the red car. Everything else is either on a slow boat to China, will be air shipped in the next week, or has been sold. It was amazing how much stuff you can accumulate over the years. It is also amazing to see how fast God can help you get rid of it once you realize it is his and not yours.
  • As the title states, it is the suite life. We are now homeless (we closed on the house March 1). We began staying at the Hampton Inn 3 weeks ago and have 2 more to go. Stephanie and Markeith serve us breakfast in the morning, and someone different cleans (if that's what you call it) our rooms each day. The great thing is that we have friends who let us come to their house so we don't have to be stuck in our's all the time. We have started to become a little possessive of what we have at our new home. People don't ask to use our pool, they park in our spots, and they sit at our breakfast table. On the bright side, the driveway is always plowed, sidewalks shoveled, the papers on the door when we wake up, and there are friendly people to welcome us home each day.
  • The goodbye parties have started. It is sad to say zai jian (good-bye) for now, but it is great to know that God has blessed us with so many wonderful people in our lives. The good news is that we have friends in China also, and they are eagerly anticipating our arrival. It will be nice to see them again, and we are looking forward to the opportunity to spend time with them and getting to know the locals.

Until next time, Mark
