Hello to all,
Friday, we went go carting with Mike and Denise Hus and their three boys. That's where it all began. We had a blast, but lets just say that these go carts weren't any ordianary go carts. It was like Kokomo's on steroids. They were really big and went really fast and the ventilation in the place wasn't the greatest so you had a little bit of a carbon monoxide buzz going on. We had a great time though and we all walked away with just a couple of bruises in unexpected places.
Saturday Mark and I got up early and got to IKEA when it opened. We were in and out in 50 minutes and with no great stories to tell. It was a miracle. My friends even had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to go there with them tomorrow. I told them as much as I was glad they were home and wanted to see them, I just had to pass.
Saturday afternoon, Mark and the boys went and played american football with some friends and their boys. Well, Mark found out that he isn't as young as he used to be. He took a football off the face and has a nice black eye. He looks pretty hot though, you should see him!!!! :)
At least all of these bumps, bangs and bruises were self inflicted instead of Chinese inflicted:)
Today, we went to church. There was a family there from Midland who are here on their househunting trip. So we went to dinner with them and then had them over for ice cream.
It's been a relaxing and fun week, but it is back to the grindstone tomorrow. No more sleeping in, so I'm off to bed...

I'm glad you were able to go to Ikea without serious injury. I'd expect more injuries there than from go-karting, based on what I've heard.
It sounds like the boys had fun playing football, except for the one incident of course. That story reminded me a lot of the Brady Bunch episode where Marcia takes a football to the face. I never thought I'd compare my manly brother to Marcia Brady. I hope everything heals ok!

Now, see, when I read about Mark playing football and receiving a boo boo, I'm reminded of the time he was at CMU and ran into a grill, often mistaken as a girl, and received stitches. That was my first thought to the lead in to this story. What fond memories I have.
Love, Laurie
