Life in Shanghai (as told by Elise) (again)
Well, I'm back again to tell you all about life in shanghai. So far I've managed to survive through exams and making up some exams after i woke up sick in the middle of the night before my first exam. So I'm officially done with school, except for one more end of the year assembly. Unfortunately for the boys, they had to go to school still. So I went shopping with madre. =D Then we got massages. That was even better. As an end of the year present, I got all 3 seasons of Numbers. I forgot how addicting that show is. I think I've watched 11 episodes and we got it yesterday. Yeah, I'm enjoying my summer. And using my time wisely.

Elise,
I am sooo proud of you; finishing up school in China! Way to go! Can you believe that you are almost ready to come to the US for a few weeks! We are really looking forward to seeing all of you!
I am glad you are feeling better from your illness. That sounded awful!!!!
Enjoy your summer...we can't wait to see you!
Love ya!

I only watched a couple of episodes of that series. I liked it, but didn't have time to get addicted to another TV show. Is Judd Hirsch still on it as his Dad?
I'm glad school is done for you and we will see you very soon.
Love,
Aunt Laurie
Hey Elise,
I was so surprised to hear that you like to watch "Numbers"!!! Who would have ever known you'd be interested in something heavy on the math end!! Girl who is taking two math classes in the fall! Uncle Scott likes that show as well, but he doesn't always get to see it like he wants to.
What was up with all that barfing! Did you eat something funny that night? I remember a night this past Spring that happened to me. It is not one bit fun.
We are excited you will be home soon. Lyss wants to "do something with you". I'm sure you two will have a ball.
Grandpa is taking most of Lyss' senior pics today, so I must go and get a shower, etc. myself so I can help the princess if she needs anything. Mandy is going to be in some photos as well. Uncle Scott groomed her a couple of days ago. I think she feels better with a bit less hair, since it has been so hot here. We have been up to 90 for the past couple of days. It is supposed to be that again today, so we are hitting Dow Gardens early.
Gotta go, but I luv ya,
Aunty Beth
Hi Elise -
Glad school is over for you and now all you have to do is relax until you come home. Sounds like you must have been pretty sick. Flu or food?
How are your grades? Excellent as usual?
The boys should be done with school soon right?
Did you ever get a present because you finished school when you were in Michigan? Sounds like you have the life there.
Can't wait until you get home and we can see you.
Don't watch too much TV.
Love - Grandma
Wow, I didn't realize Numbers had been on for three seasons already. That's nice that you can still watch it while you're in China. And probably for a lot less money than the DVD's would have been here. I love watching an entire series on DVD. It's so nice to skip commercials and not have to wait to find out what happens in the next episode. TiVo is good for that too. Kyle XY (a series on the Family Channel) just began their second season so they did a marathon of the first season. We TiVo'd it and have been watching it this week. So far it's not too bad. Anyway, congratulations on reaching summer. We can't wait to see you!
Love,
Aunt Angie
Hi Elise,
Well we just finished the first day of Senior pics for your cousin today. Grandpa did a terrific job - wait till you see them.
We're glad to hear that school is completed for the summer for you. I'm sure you did very well - would be real surprised to hear anything different.
Love you Sweetie - we sure are anxious to see all of you. If you have time, you can say a little prayer for Grandma - I'm having my foot operated on(in office) tomorrow at lunch time. I just may have to rest for a few days - sure will be nice.
Take care now and "hello" to everyone.
Love & Hugs
Grandma R
Elise,
I have to say that I, too, am so proud of you. You seem to have adjusted so well and you kept up with the same quality of work you did in the states. Above everything else it appears that you are staying close to God! PRAISE GOD!! That is the most important thing in your life! Keep up the good work!
