Beijing, Part 2 of 2

On the 3rd day of the Beijing trip we went to an organic farm. At the organic farm our group split into smaller groups. One group went to work in the greenhouse, another was a recording group, and another group went onto the reservoir to find out how the water level has changed over a period of time. My friends and I decided to go work in the greenhouse because we thought that we needed to work on our muscles. In the greenhouse we dug and planted seeds. The lady that works in the greenhouse works 7:30-11 and then she gets a short break and then works from 12:30-5. At her house she has her own personal garden that her family takes care of while she is at work. All of the vegetables that she makes At the greenhouse goes to a market in which that is where they sell them. After we visited the greenhouse we walked about 20 minutes to this place in which we ate lunch. The food was the best that we had all week up until the last day when we kendeji, KFC, that was rly good. But the food we had was chicken wings and sweet potato fries with lots of sugar on them. Before we got to eat food I was playing cards. The card game was kemps. In kemps u have to get four of a kind and give a signal to your partner. But my friends and I were playing our version of kemps called kemps gone mad where you can steal cards out of other peoples hands that adds a whole new twist to the game. That was the end of the 3rd day.

On the 4th day of the trip we went to the underground city, and to an acrobatic show. In the underground city we had a guide who told us that it should actually be called the great wall of china because it is almost 4x larger than the great wall. In the city were really scary manikins. On the walls were pictures that were there when it was first built. As you walked into the theater you look around you see a guy walking a tightrope, more than 10 people on one small bike, acrobats doing flips, jumping, cartwheels, and throwing things off of string as it soars through the air. The aroma of popcorn and hot, stinky, smelling people. The seats packed, eager to see what they will do next. The gasps that flies from mouths. This is an acrobatic show.

On the 5th and final day we go to the airport to reach our final destination, SHANGHAI, the flight is ok when u can play cards. On the bus ride home it was quiet except for the back seat. Guess who was in it your right Austin, Esther, Brooke, and I what a noise we all can make.

That was my exciting trip to Beijing.

Oh Jacob, Grandpa and I are so impressed with your writings. Sounds like you had an exciting trip and a great experience.
All of you Berg kids did a great job explaining to those of us so far away just what you were doing on your trips. Very interesting to say the least.
We love you....

Jacob,
I just got done reading the blog on your adventure in Bejing. Sounds to me like you had a really good time except for the kid on the plane ride over. I can't imagine climbing walls etc. Waht an adventure.
Sounds also to me like you are really into card playing. You will have to get the cribbage board warmed up for when we come to visit. Maybe you can teach Grandpa and I some of the new games you are also learning.
Talk to you later. Study hard and be good!

Jake Bob Berg! You are a funny, funny guy! I truly enjoyed your recap of your Beijing trip. And, I learned a lot new, especially Kemp's Gone Mad. I hope Alyssa and Uncle Dave see these as they love playing Kemps. What a fun twist. Thanks for sharing all of your adventures with us. Things are not so exciting here. But we will all be content wherever God has planted us at this time.
Love ya,
Aunt Beth
