This week, we will be featuring a different trip from each person. The first in the series is titled, "School, or is it School?" by Noah and Levi. Elise will blog tomorrow night, Natalie on Thursday, me on Friday, and Jacob on Saturday. SO, be sure to check back each day....
School, or is it School?
For my school interim trip I went to Nan Bei Hu Adventure Camp. My favorite thing was when we did the Leap of Faith. So when you do the Leap of Faith you climb up this 10 meter pole and then jump off it about 1 meter and try to grab on to a trapeze. I actually jumped and grabbed onto the trapeze so it was kind of fun.
A different thing we did was when we went rappelling. What you do when you go rappelling is you walk up to the top of a cliff, get hooked into a bunch of ropes and spring down the cliff until you get to the bottom.
We also did a lot of different stuff like walking on a rope that is about 1 inch wide. We also went rock climbing, but it wasn’t up an actual mountain. We did archery and I hit the target every time (not on the bull’s eye). That is about it.
Sincerely,
Noah Berg
As you already know for my school interim trip I went to Nan Bei Hu. Nan Bei Hu is an adventure that is used for team building. My favorite thing was rock climbing. It was fun because we got to use real rock climbing shoes that were specially made. There were three different levels but they only had two of them up so I did one of them twice and then I did the other one.
The one that probably required the most teamwork was called trust lean where you fell straight backwards off a 3 meter stand and your team had to catch. What was really hard was catching them when they bent their legs because it dropped their all down to one spot. I also liked bridge crossing where you went across a rope bridge that was across a river.
Kayaking was pretty fun because my partner was one of my friends and we got stuck under a really small bridge and couldn’t get off. After we went kayaking me and 8 other people had to stand on a blanket that was about a foot wide and none of our feet could have been touching the ground and we couldn’t have been sitting. Eventually one of our chaperones held two people on his back while I held my friend that I went kayaking with. We all had to stand on the blanket for 20 seconds and it was really hard.
Thanks for reading! Levi Berg

Noah & Levi - It sounds like you were on a real adventure. Noah I can't imagine doing the leap of faith. That sounds pretty scary. Everything you did sounds like a lot of work but fun. Sounds like you are a pretty good aim on the archery. Do you have the opportunity to do archery where you are at? I bet you hate being back to "real" school this week.
Levi - Uncle Carl and Aunt Bonnie have kayaks and they go around their little lake with them. So far they have been lucky and have not got hung up on anything. I bet that was scary for awhile. Rock climbing sounds like a lot of work but fun.
It was good to hear from the two of you. Keep us posted on other events you do.
Love Grandma B
Oh my word, It sounds too dangerous to me!!!! I'm glad you are still alive to blog to all of us. I can hardly believe they took a trip that was that dangerous. When you have to trust your friends to catch you and all, I wonder if you compared that to being a Christian and how much you have to rely on Christ. Once in a while I flunk that test so no wonder I would have trouble trusting friends to catch me!!! Have a great day!!
Aunt Carol
Wow...sounds like you two boys had one exciting adverture. Many firsts in your life - I hope you took lots of pictures so when we come to visit you can show us what all you did.
It was so nice to hear from you two and glad you could take advantage of this great opportunity.
We love you and please keep us up to date on all your happenings.

I am so jealous! I was at a camp for children's ministry leaders a few weeks ago and they had most of that stuff, but they wouldn't let us do it! No fair.
Levi and Noah! I can't believe the cool adventures you guys have been on. I think I would have been a fraidy-cat! It is so neat you get to experience all this stuff.
Love you guys,
Aunt Deb
Hey boys (er, young men)-
Love the update of your trip. What a lot of fun you must have had with your teammates! I'm afraid that I feel like Aunt Deb though - glad you had the experience, but a big, fat, chicken myself. I used to be pretty good at archery in school, but that is where my athletic ability stops! Pretty sure I would have been hanging upside down in my kayak, yep, yep!
Have a ball!
Hugs,
Aunt Beth
P.S. from Aunt Beth - Did you feel like Indiana Jones crossing the river on that rope bridge?
